San Francisco, California – Twitch, the world’s leading social video platform and community for gamers, hosted its first ever convention, TwitchCon 2015 at the Moscone Center. Taking place from September 25 to September 26, 2015, this event is dedicated to Twitch’s community of broadcasters, viewers and partners.
For its first attempt, this show received overwhelming responses from gaming enthusiasts, viewers and streamers all over the world! Plus, 1.9 million views of live streams from TwitchCon events were also reported.
Of course, the Sound BlasterX team wouldn’t miss out on an opportunity like this.
At TwitchCon, we showcased our Sound BlasterX Pro-gaming Series at our booth. The main draw was the BlasterX stage where attendees were able to play against some of the top Hearthstone players in the world from the coL gaming team.
The BlasterX presence at the booth was designed to engage with attendees via interactive demo stations, streaming and direct fan interaction with popular streamers and pro-gamers.
Streaming the matches live from the booth at TwitchCon via Noxious’s Twitch.tv channel, we fared pretty well in viewership. We’ve clocked in 21,246 hours of viewing time, 49,720 unique visitors, and 83,500 video plays in two days!
We had five demo stations playing the game SOMA (which was just released prior to TwitchCon) that produces amazing audio details in a tense atmosphere. This is where attendees could get a hands-on experience with the Sound BlasterX H5 as well as the Sound Blaster X7, Sound Blaster E5 and the Z-series sound cards.
