Creative is an official sponsor at this year's World Series of Video Games (WSVG) tournaments. The WSVG is the first international video game competition circuit on multiple gaming platforms. The WSVG circuit consists of eight national and international events where the top two winners of each category will be flown to the final tournament to be held later in the year where ultimate video game champions will be crowned. As the official sponsor of WSVG, Creative is showcasing the 'Ultimate Gaming Arsenal' as the official hardware for all the 8 WSVG stops. The choice of weaponry consists of Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty complete with the external drive bay, Creative Fatal1ty gaming headset and Creative Fatal1ty gaming Laser Mouse. Creative's hardware is also being used at all the sponsor booths - including Intel and ATI. The first stop of the tournament was at the Million-man LAN War in Kentucky on June 15-18 where an approximate 8,000 attendees participated in the 4 day event.
Creative's booth at the event was packed with attendees amazed at the latest Sound Blaster X-Fi technology, playing the latest games on Sound Blaster X-Fi in the head-to-head gaming area and participating in the crazy stage activities. The booth also displayed the latest gaming products by the other Fatal1ty partners - ABIT and Zalman.
The booth was action packed with activities. On the first day, a local radio station, WDJX, conducted a Live remote Sound Blaster hour featuring Fatal1ty during the rush hour traffic. Listeners had a chance to talk to Fatal1ty and win cool Creative prizes. Creative's PR Director, Phil O'Shaughnessy, was also featured in the business panel at the event discussing the upcoming trends in the gaming industry.
Stay tuned for details on the 2nd WSVG stop at CPL Dallas July 6-9!
